On December 12, Bobby, Mills, and I departed from DFW to SFO.
Mills is a super traveler (so is Bobby when he's not shoving a video camera into my pores, God love him), and we thought it was about damn time we took her to one of our favorite places on Earth...San Francisco.
Before Bobby and I were ever even engaged, we decided that we wanted to end up living in SF. Each time we've been back, there have been collective sighs and in-unison wondering how we could do it and how it would feel to be out of Texas and what steps we needed to take and it goes on and on like any good daydream does.
This time, though, was different.

We have Millie.
Bobby has a super job for which he can really use his overall brilliance and investment genius.
I have my second child, Kate Mefford Photography, and I'm not movin' that baby.
Our 'hood is chock-full of kickass people who are there if we are sick/sad/just want to drink margaritas and we reciprocate with them.
We are not moving. And we are okay with not ever living in San Francisco.
I think we're cool with just letting it be that place we escape to once a year and then we're done.
Acceptance. It takes being able to put on your big girl panties, doesn't it?!
I'm gonna show you guys SF through several posts.
There are way too many images to do it all at once, and I love you too much to make your eyes bleed. We're gonna start with the BART, as that was what first inspired me on this trip to whip out the camera. Millie loves public transportation like any wicked cool 4 year old, and it was so much fun capturing life around her as she checked it all out.

These are awesome. So, do you ever wonder....would it ruin it for you to live there?

(12.28.09 @ 10:26 PM)This is a fine collection of images and that first shot of Miss Millie looks as if she is out to capture her city! Glorious!
