Okay, so they're NOT from the future, but they ARE modern.  We're modern parents, so it's only natural that our children match that.  Modern kids like modern art...they're not yet into that Renaissance-y stuff, as Jackson Pollock seems more like what they are into.  I'm guessing that Pollock's splatters are beyond their school classmates' scribbles, but they've gotta kinda look familiar.  I'm just sayin'.

So, during this fine spring break, Joanna and I rounded up our kids and took them to Fort Worth's Modern Art Museum.  If I said, "Don't run!" or "Hands behind your back!" once, I said it thirty-seven times, but all in all, we survived.  Actually, we did better than "survive".  We had a wonderful experience.  Joanna and I were jonesin' to see the Andy Warhol:  The Last Decade exhibit, and Millie, Sloan, and Jack just wanted to get out of the house and see something new.  We saw an exhibit made of candy, one that the kids could catwalk on, and recreated the same photograph I took of Millie three years ago.  We were all pretty inspired by the time we left (though the kids were pretty repulsed by Warhol's urine painting), and I'm looking forward to the next museum trip with this gang!

Now these are some cute kids! Amazing last picture - amazing! I just love it. Kate, you got a little "poser" in Millie. She definitely knows how to work it for the camera.

Kate,
Love the pictures. I can never get enough of my grandkids, and Millie is darling too. You really caught the playful side of them.
