Another year, another fantastic shindig. We Meffords like to party, and this year was no exception. For Millie's 5th, our future vet/doctor/fashion designer wanted an "animal" party. No, not like THIS. Maybe she can plan one of those, herself, in 15 years..."not under my roof". (I never thought I'd say that phrase, and she's only 5. Ay dios mio.)
Since we built a pool in our backyard last spring, visualizing an animal party back there involved goats on floats sippin' Mai Tais, and that just WASN'T what I was going for. We needed to find a place we could visit that already had all of the fixin's. So, naturally, I Googled for one. Turns out, Grisham Farms, just northwest of McKinney, was exactly what we needed! Add the beautiful birthday girl, her friends, cousins, pizza, red velvet whoopie pies, lemon cupcakes, and a farm-load of animals, and VOILA! It was the perfect party...for this year.
