Yeah, so...I live in the suburbs. Development is kind of a theme around these parts. It's a rare day when we aren't up to our eyeballs in bulldozers, orange cones and detour signs. But more than that, it is a theme of life, that development. Yes, it is. As I am evolving as a photographer, mother, wife, and woman, I am also an observer of others currently in development. Millie is racing toward being a "big kid" and away from being a baby. She changes every single day and it blows my mind. My brother is really in the midst of developing just who he wants to be...and part of that involves moving to Ft. Worth from his ranch in Brenham. My mom continues to evolve and is developing meaningful friendships in McKinney after being in Brenham almost her whole life. Bobby is growing each day into the man he's always wanted to be and the man that I've always dreamed of...wise, protective, kind, thoughtful, and a comedic genius with insanely hot salt and pepper hair...love my man's grays!
What is my focus of development at the moment? I'm not sure if I am ready to share it with you, but I will soon enough. Stay tuned. Until then, I'm under construction.

Great shot and well written post! Love the Texas sunset, too many trees and hills here to get a shot like this. Amazing!
(02.12.11 @ 06:53 AM)what a great family!!
(02.09.11 @ 09:41 AM)Love it, Kate! Aren't we always under development, all the time. I (as well as many other friends of yours) will be here for you through it all and look forward to what lies ahead for you!
(01.31.11 @ 07:38 PM)Love the development piece...very cool. As a kid raised in the highway construction industry and a love for heavy machinery, I heart this picture. Any chance you'd be willing to share it with me? I'd love to have a copy framed in my office.
