We met down on South 1st for some true Austin flavah. Yeah, we hit up a few of the classic South 1st haunts, but instead of going for the obvious, we worked around them and came up with something even better. (Like in this first image, most photographers take their clients to this wall for the Austin sign. However, I was obsessed with the doors and made them mine.)
Then, it got real. Jason told me about the place where he and Gina had their first date---Eastside Cafe. Apparently Gina out-lunched Jason, and he was hella impressed. (HOW ON EARTH DID SHE EAT MORE THAN HIM? She's freaking TINY! Hollow leg, I suppose.) We scooted over to the East Side and hung out with some chickens.
Then, it got really, really personal. And...there was hiking. Big day for me, people. The sweet couple took me to the 360 Bridge atop a cliff where Jason proposed to Gina. They told me the story of how their loved ones surrounded them that day atop the cliff, and my heart literally skipped a beat. I feel so privileged to have witnessed the exact spot where they got engaged!

Just like their fabulous friends who recommended me to them (Leah + Corey and Casey + Billy), Meggan + Jess had me rolling from the second we started this shoot. They drove in from Austin to Burnet, as I was in town visiting my in-laws for Memorial Day weekend, and we had a blast hanging out for the evening. Their love for each other is evident in every move they make, and it is easy to see that they are meant for one another. The couple that laughs together stays together, and that is definitely Meggan + Jess!
Can't wait for these two lookers to get hitched in September at The Plantation House!

Not only did the sweet pea go to TCU (Go Frogs!), but she is as bubbly as the day is long and is so passionate about her job helping seniors find scholarships. She's a great catch. So great, that normally, I would object to her marrying anyone who went to SMU. However, despite his higher education, Bob is a fantastic person and is just completely besotted with Ashley. Their chemistry is off the charts, and I can't wait to photograph their wedding day in just a few weeks!
