Kim, Joe, and I bounced around the Fort Worth Stockyards recently during their engagement session (beers in hand, of course) and saw amazing boots, bikes, horses, and warm and cozy rustic surroundings. Salt of the earth, that's them. Kim and Joe are getting married in May out in Wichita Falls (Kim's hometown), and I can't wait to photograph their big day! Stay tuned, as it's right around the corner!
It's gonna be a long wait till their wedding in October, but it will be so worth it.
Hugs to you both, B & B, and give Reise a snuggle from me, too!
OMG!!!!!! Brecht and I met at Dogtoberfest last year and it is fabulous that you are photographing her wedding Kate!!! As always, fabulous pictures for a fabulous couple!!! Cheers!
(03.25.10 @ 07:52 PM)What a cute couple! Love all the photos with the great colorful details in the background, but might have to say my favorite is the black and white. So simple and intimate!
(03.22.10 @ 08:09 PM)Then, I met up Lydia in Austin at her apartment a couple of weeks ago to photograph the engagement session. I was introduced to her super cool fiance, Ed, and we all got to know each other throughout our walk around downtown. Now, I am beside myself waiting for their wedding day! Lydia and Ed have this chemistry that is like two long lost fitting puzzle pieces who just happen to be magnetic. They just go together. I can't imagine them apart, and though they were slightly nervous at the beginning of their session (so they said), I couldn't tell one bit. They are complete naturals, and it is going to be a joy to photograph them making it official on April 24th!
You can definitely tell how much this cute couple adores one another. So sweet!
(03.22.10 @ 08:19 PM)LOOOVE the skyline in the background!! Awesome pictures Kate!!
(03.17.10 @ 08:02 AM)so. so. cool!!!!
(03.16.10 @ 10:43 PM)Also, thank you to Bobby, for putting up with me as I have been MIA both physically and mentally. You are my angel, ALWAYS. Thanks to Millie for never withholding hugs and kisses even though I haven't been around for Mommy-Millie days as much as I'd like to. Finally, thanks to my amazing friends, Natalie, Joanna, Holly, Mandy, Sarah and Kathryn for helping me with Millie, for encouraging me, and for unconditionally being there for me in times that frozen margaritas are for celebrating/gossiping and also those times when they are for commiserating/crying. I love you all.
Now, onto a fantastic couple getting hitched in May! Lauren + Alex are insanely gorgeous and their chemistry is undeniable. It's like, duh. I didn't really direct them at all...just kinda followed them around like a creepy stalker for an hour, and this is what we came up with. If it doesn't make you want to find your better half for some snuggles, you are a cold and heartless alien robot from the planet NoLuv.
Sizzling, right?! Just wait for the wedding photographs. It's gonna be ON like DONKEY KONG!
I feel like I just flipped through a catalogue - they just go together. You can see the chemistry with this couple. Love the one with the elephant painted on the wall.
(03.22.10 @ 08:37 PM)I believe I recognize those tin lunch bags! Great memories and lovely shots Kate! Coolness!
