This year, I chose the same team leader, Greg Gibson. We're like family now, complete with the love and the bickering. Rounding out his team were the unmistakably brilliant mentors: Matt Mendelsohn, Deanne Fitzmaurice, and Jennifer Domenick, and the supportive and hilarious team members, Ed Atrero, MaFe Fernandez, Caroline Winata, Mark Seymour, and Vinicius Matos.
Our second night at the workshop, we went carnival shooting. Here are just a few of my favorite frames.
I think I need to go to a carnival now. Love all the colors - brightens my day!

Thank you Kate for sharing these beautiful pictures. I have known the Richardson family for some time now as one of Carson's nurses at the hospital. He is such a fighter and my prayers are with him and his family in this journey.

(02.04.10 @ 09:27 AM)2009 was a great learning experience about boundaries, limits, and staying consistently creative even if I have to push myself. I know what I am capable of...and I know now to not push it past that point. I don't ever want to burn out, because this job allows me to channel so much of my energy into good for others. I get giddy when I think of how many moments I am able to capture for others and how that is going to make their legacy richer and more vibrantly full of memories.
I have so many favorites from this past year, so it was hard to even narrow it down to 300. But I managed to do it somehow. Click on the image below, and please be patient as it loads. Turn up your speakers and find yourself in 2009...I know I did.
Kate! You rocked 2009 start to finish. I am so excited to see what images you create in 2010.

(01.13.10 @ 05:46 PM)My dear...you were a very busy girl in 2009. And. You - are - UH-MAZING! I loved seeing snipets of Jake's shoot and Kanon's wedding. Plus the other MILLION fabulous things you did. This made my night. You are disgustingly talented and you have rockin' music taste, too. :) Can't wait for more Kate Mefford in 2010! MUAH!
