But I know that there are oodles of you who are {thisclose} to beating down my door to see Courtney + Alex's wedding images. And I love you for that, because I know how much you care about this couple. I do, too! Do you know how much I care about this couple? I even rooted for their beloved Chile in the World Cup. That is love, people. L-O-V-E.
I cannot wait to show you more! Hang in there with me. It's gonna be GOOD...I promise!
Jenny-My Nana (1953), Aunt Sharon (1973) and my Mom (1980) all got married in the same dress and this is a piece of the silk that was under the dress. Since I wasn't able to wear the dress as well (they didn't preserve dresses like they do today). Therefore, we embroidered all their names and dates they were married on it. Alex and I got married on the same day as my grandparents 57 years ago! Just one of the little details of the wedding...
(07.01.10 @ 02:18 PM)Your such a tease! But I am sure everyone understands...I love, love the second shot with the embroidery, never seen that before. Schroeder family, us KMP blog readers would love to hear the story behind that, if you care to share in the comments. Congrats Courtney!
(07.01.10 @ 12:21 PM)Your awesome Kate!!! I also think you should add more to your plate at the moment...jk Congrats on everything. I can't wait to see the rest...
(07.01.10 @ 10:20 AM)Lauren + Alex were married a couple of weeks ago at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in McKinney. Opting for mostly photojournalistic coverage, we took family portraits for 5 minutes, and then, ZOOM! The newlyweds were off to their Grand Hotel reception on the Vespa...representin' for Alex's Italian heritage! It was a fabulous night filled with the truest, warmest sentiments, and I hope these images help Lauren + Alex and sweet Collin to remember it forever.
I can't wait to hear all about your European honeymoon adventures, Lauren + Alex! Also, best wishes in Houston, and please stay in touch.
Much love to you and your families and friends!
well, i was going to say "STUNNING" but someone already did. so then i thought i would say "IN SANE" but someone said that too. "AMAZING, FABULOUS, and FANTASTIC" sound cliche- SO, i guess i will say simply- "these are really good" :) love them. and SHE is BEYOND LOVELY!
(06.07.10 @ 10:57 PM)Kate there are some stunning images here... Love ur work!
(06.07.10 @ 03:38 AM)Kate these are fantastic!!! It took me about 16 pics before I realized that I shot a wedding at that same church last year. :) The dancing shot could not be more amazing! I love them all!

(06.02.10 @ 08:24 AM)Gorgeous, Kate!! Love, love, love the rear-view mirror moped shot and the dancing one!! Totally head over heels for her dress, too - beautiful, beautiful bride! xoxo...anne&bill
(06.01.10 @ 03:04 PM)Love it!!! Some of your best work ever!!!!
(06.01.10 @ 03:04 PM)Beautiful work Kate! That reflection shot in the church is amazing!
(06.01.10 @ 02:11 PM)My homegirl, Joanna, was there to assist.
Caplan Miller Events was representin' with the event planning.
Kim + Joe are easily in the top 3 for Most Laid Back and Trusting Clients EVER.
Their great friend, Everett, was officiating, which meant that the ceremony was heartfelt, and that I could go anywhere I needed to to get the shot.
Kim + Joe allowed plenty of time for us to use fun locations for portraits in between the ceremony and reception and they were just as excited as I was about that!
DJ RICH (from Austin) was KILLING IT in the music department. I just HAD to dance in between shots during the whole reception.
Kim + Joe are so beyond in love and their chemistry just radiates. They are true best friends and I am so proud to know them and their kind hearts. Here are my favorite images from their wedding day!
Kim + Joe ~ Have fun on your much needed honeymoon getaway in Europe! Eat fabulously, drink one or seven for me, and bring back tons of pictures. We must meet up at Joe T's for a rita when you get back! Hugs to you both and your fam and friends!

(05.16.10 @ 08:12 PM)Beautiful as always kate...love all the expressions you caught on your subjects faces. And love the back lit first dance shot...MAGIC!
(05.16.10 @ 07:50 PM)In addition to the theme, there were two other elements that raised the roof off of this mother. Kurant Events rocked the food like no other. There is no other catering company that can make comfort food (sliders, frito pie, and the like) glamorous like these guys.
To round out the night, one of my favorite bands ever performed. The Spazmatics brought the house down and made sure all the booties were shaking. I love those guys and I loved everything about Melissa + Jason's wedding day.
Thanks, also, to my fantastic friend Kathryn Krueger for helping me shoot this wedding. The amazing shot of Jason at the beginning of the ceremony is all hers.
I really adore you, Melissa + Jason, and hope that we can meet up in ATX for some fun sometime soon! Hugs to both of you.
Great pics!
