I'm just beyond honored to have been the storyteller of Jenny + Chris and their magical day.Big hugs to all of you who were there. It was glorious and I won't ever forget it!
He read the abridged version of "I Like You" by Samuel Stoddard, and I just wanted to laugh, cry, and skip all at once.
If Bobby and I ever renew our vows again (hopefully in 3 years for our 10th anni), I want this to be read. (Yeah, I love you, Boo!)
Here it is:
---------------
I like you and I know why.
I like you because you are a good person to like.
I like you because when I tell you something special, you know it's special
And you remember it a long, long time.
You say, Remember when you told me something special
And both of us remember
When I think something is important
you think it's important too
When I say something funny, you laugh
I think I'm funny and you think I'm funny too
I like you because you know where I'm ticklish
And you don't tickle me there
except just a little tiny bit
sometimes
But if you do, then I know where to tickle you too
You know how to be silly
That's why I like you
Boy are you ever silly
I never met anybody sillier than me till I met you
I like you because you know when it's time to stop being silly
Maybe day after tomorrow
Maybe never
Too late, it's a quarter past silly
Sometimes we don't say a word
We snurkle under fences
We spy secret places
If I am a goofus on the roofus hollering my head off
You are one too
If I pretend I am drowning, you pretend you are saving me
If I am getting ready to pop a paper bag,
then you are getting ready to jump
That's because you really like me
You really like me, don't you
And I really like you back
And you like me back and I like you back
And that's the way we keep on going every day
And I like you because if we go away together
And if we are in Grand Central Station
And if I get lost
Then you are the one that is yelling for me
"Where are you?"
"Here I am"
I like you because I don't know why but
Everything that happens is nicer with you
I can't remember when I didn't like you
It must have been lonesome then
I like you because because because
I forget why I like you but I do
So many reasons
I don't know why
I guess I don't know why I really like you
Why do I like you
I guess I just like you
I guess I just like you because I love you.

I love you, blog readers. I love you, clients. I love you, relatives of clients who read rad poems at ceremonies that make feel like I just won the Showcase Showdown on Price is Right. But most of all, I love you Bobby and Millie!
Thanks for making me Thankful for MY husband B.... :O))) Im going to find him now (probably in the shed or garage, and read this to him right now!!!!!!!!!! :O)
(11.25.09 @ 06:47 PM)Awwwww!
I am the luckiest guy in the world!!!!
I love you, Katie!!!
I usually have carte blanche from my clients, but I had BEYOND carte blanche from this couple, to the point where Leah + Corey were begging me to stop shooting and drink some wine. (Leah apparently had forgotten that I have the tolerance of a 7 year old.) I then promptly turned my camera up to the sky and clicked two times and showed them what the frames might look like if I drank said wine and they actually thought the shots looked cool. That is SCARY CARTE BLANCHE...COMPLETE and TOTAL TRUST. God love them for that, because I had so much fun taking that trust and weaving it into their love story.
Here she is. Their story, I mean. It turned out beautifully and very heartfelt, just like L + C.
And, that's all she wrote...with those dirty, dirty polka-dotted toes. Love it. Times infinity.Big hugs to the Cramers and the Cooks and to all of my old clients, old friends and high school teachers and what not (Candice + Chris, T Saunders, Miss Thaler, my homegirl Michele, Jana Banana, Kyree, and Mamaw...who hasn't aged since 1995).
Leah looked stunning & these pictures capture Corey & Leah PERFECTLY. Fantastic job!

(11.11.09 @ 08:30 AM)Here are a few (if "a few", in your understanding, means 30ish) of my favorites from Kathryn + Adam's wedding day at the Stonebriar Country Club in Frisco, TX.
Mary, Kathryn's hilarious sister, helped her get ready.
Loved the charms on the bouquet, the clover in the shoe (passed down through generations), and the sweet little fan. Accessories make the world go 'round!
Waiting for their first glance...
Love this shot of Mary helping Kathryn with the veil right before the ceremony.
Fore! We have a married couple headed your way!
Swoon.
Loved the details. Kathryn and her mom planned this whole shebang, and with help from Bella Flora and Lite Dallas, the place was unstoppably chic.
First dance, and my favorite image from their wedding. Hands down.
Hava Nagila, Hava Nagila!!!
Adam's mom was inspired.
Larry King was even invited to the wedding.
And, they're off in the Met, once again!
Hugs to you both, and best wishes. Stay in touch!
(Stay tuned for their slideshow...coming soon!)gorgeous!!!

(10.15.09 @ 11:02 AM)
I cannot pull my eyes away from the gorgeousness that is Svetha's evening ensemble. It's mesmerizing!
LOVE this image! LOVE LOVE LOVE!
Saman Ansari of Studio Sila is one of the best hair and makeup artists in Austin and she was such a blast to hang with while Svetha was in the getting ready stages.
Did Kennedy Creative do a fantastic job or what?!
Here come the newlyweds!
Jith shows off his beautiful daughter.
When DJ Riz played "Jai Ho" from Slumdog Millionaire, the crowd went NUTS! I almost lost an eye! Not really, but I always wanted to say that.
Chase's friend, Jarret, breaks it DOWN.
Funny thing is, I went to high school with Jarret and his brother Brent, but none of us knew that until half way through the engagement session when Chase and I put 2 and 2 together. Love those dudes!
This kid was Jai Ho'd out.
Their last dance here, but one of the first for their lifetime together!
Stay tuned for their slideshow tomorrow!!!
